Basic GFX Compo rules:
- Max resolution: can be anything, but attach the 800x600 version that
will be shown. If We have to resize, then Grrrr!
- Player: ACDSee 2.3 (except C64)
- All picture formats are available those are known by ACDSee 2.3 except
PSD, PSP and Animated GIF.
- Each pictures will be shown for a duration ca. 30 seconds, and we'll
also do a faster slideshow after the compo to make anyone refreshed.
- Strict prejury won't happen, they'll just chuck the masterpieces out
by the explorers of minimal grotesque dadists. At least the Goofy compo
will grow more..
C64 gfx:
- HAS to be executable
- It shouldn't scroll 1 day long....
- Besides the basic GFX compo rules are valid, except the part with the
800x600 thing.
Oldschool Pixel:
- Max resolution: 320x200
- Max color depth: 8bit (256 colors)
less color depth is
accepted, <and what's more!!:)
- It's recommended to attach phases in case we find it suspicious as a
scan or copy.
- If a picture is having a bigger color depth or resolution, will be automatically
thrown to the truecolor gfx compo.
- Besides the basic GFX compo rules are valid, except the part with the
800x600 thing.
Truecolor:
- Pictures are allowed those were made with any graphical
software, except 3D-only.
- There is no size limit, but try to avoid releasing a 10 MB BMP
- Again: PSD and PSP is forbidden!
- 100% scanned pictures will be disqualified (we are eagle-eyed. fear!)
- It's recommended to attach phases in case we find it suspicious as a
scan or copy.
- Besides the basic GFX compo rules are valid.
raytrace:
- Pictures are welcome that has been made with any 3D rendering/raytracing
program.
- Wireframe rendering HAS to be included!
- A minimal photoshop/paintshop after-effecting is allowed (like signing,
blur, ...)
- When the picture is evidently a mixture of the usage of a 3D renderer
and a 2D graphical software, will be automatically thrown to the Truecolor
GFX Compo.
- Besides the basic GFX compo rules are valid.
hand-gfx:
- Drawing on paper. We'll support: paper, black-tinted ball-point pen,
chair+table, some light and 1 hour.
- When time is up, we scan the drawing and then show them all on the projector
as a compo.
- The papers will be indicated by us, ergo the old half-drawing-brought-from-home
trick is out from the date.
- Scanning resolution: 300dpi, Grayscale
- Saving format: Compressed TIF
- All the drawings will be shown, except extremist instances.
- Each drawing can carried home if it's asked for. Or perhaps we'll do
an auction :)
